Hi,
I've created a form in Articulate 360, when I played the publish copy everything was fine. I sent it for a customer review, and the sound is non there. I published once again, and tried again and still no sound. I too tried going into my tray and check the mute on speakers and everything seems fine

Hullo all,
For those of you who have run into issues with your audio (or videos) playing at the start of the course in Chrome, please make sure y'all're using the latest version of Storyline 360 (or Storyline iii) equally we've released an update for both to support the newest behavior of Chrome 66 to forbid autoplay of media.
The changes that y'all'll see beyond hosting platforms when viewing Chrome content is that media may not play at all if it's on the commencement slide or not initiated by the user. The latest Storyline updates implemented a fix for this where learners may run across a play button when they launch your course in Chrome 66+ if the first slide has audio. Clicking the play push button allows the audio to play as expected.
Later on a while, learners may stop seeing the play button as Chrome's Media Engagement Index (MEI) learns that they allowed audio to play on previous visits to the same site. When that happens, sound will automatically play as it did in earlier versions of Chrome.
Some other option is to non include media which is set to offset automatically on the outset slide. In this setup, a user would view and interact with the get-go slide (i.e. clicking next push button) and Chrome volition recognize that as the users choice to have media play throughout the remainder of the course.
If you have whatsoever other questions or concerns about this we're happy to help and offer clarifications! It may be a fleck easier to exam your courses and share that insight one on one, then delight reach out to our Back up team hither. You can include a link to this forum give-and-take to get the ball rolling as well.
I'k having the same problem - non all reviewers can hear the sound in Clear Review for Storyline courses when using Google Chrome. It seems like the sound takes a while to load fully in Chrome. If the reviewer waits a few minutes and refreshes a few times, the sound eventually works (in Chrome). In Internet Explorer and Fire Fox, it seems to work immediately without result.
I'thou having the same trouble....audio does non play on Clear Review in Google Chrome right away. It works on FF fine.
Hi Katrina and Edward,
Tin you double-check that the course was published to Articulate Review using the latest update of Storyline 360? Simply click theHelp tab, then clickAbout Storyline. Y'all should come across3.15.15581.0in the bottom-correct corner.
If the course was published with the latest update and you're even so having audio bug in Chrome, can you please share the Articulate Review link with me? If you lot'd rather go on it private, ship information technology here.
Ah ha - I'm on version 3.xiv.15525. I have to get IT to install updates on my motorcar (visitor policy) then it will probably be a few weeks before I become can the latest update installed.
I'grand having the same trouble and I'm sure it's non the Storyline version issue. Some modules which were uploaded earlier this twelvemonth, were playing audios fine on Chrome and now they are not playing on Chrome, on Articulate Review. They do play on Microsoft Edge.
Has anyone from Articulate replied with a ready or at least saying they're working on this effect? We're having the aforementioned issue. We're experiencing this result with Presenter files so information technology's not a Storyline issue. It's a Review effect.
Hello Sara,
Are you using the latest update of Presenter 360? There was a change with Chrome's playback of media if it's set to autoplay on the first slide, then that is impacting all Articulate courses even hosted in Review. You should see a play push button on the start screen and once yous've selected to play the media information technology should keep usually throughout the course.
If y'all're using the latest update of Articulate 360, and it'southward all the same not behaving as expected in Review can you share a link to your course so that nosotros can test it?
An Articulate tech rep instructed me to update my version of Articulate and then re-publish my course. So far, information technology has worked for me.
Ane difference: When my course loads on the Articulate Review site, you have to click on a large PLAY button to begin the course. In the previous version of Articulate, the course motorcar started afterward information technology loaded.
Hello Ashley,
When you say that the change to Chrome's playback of media is impacting all Articulate courses, do you literally mean even the final versions we've published out as SCORM and loaded to our LMS aren't going to play audio or media? Or is this just an issue with the Clear Review tool?
Yes you must republish all courses and reload on the LMS. This is a major consequence. Kickoff make sure you have the electric current version of Articulate. They fixed the problem on April 26 or 27.
Hi Sara,
Yep, it would impact all courses that offset with media fix to automatically play on the outset slide. If y'all have media starting later in the form after the user has interacted with the content there should be any issues with the playback.
The play button that yous're seeing (in Review or your LMS) is part of the change we had to make in Articulate 360 to arrange the Chrome 66 updates to autoplay. That user interaction is what the browser needs in club to play the audio or video. If your courses have a required user interaction on the first slide and no media, you may not need to republish to accept the media autoplay.
We're likewise working on a content updater, and we'll let you know as shortly as that is ready (no ETA has been determined yet!).
Yes, this is happening to me too. Thank you to whoever discovered this works in IE just not Chrome. Usually we recommend using Chrome.
Not sure that I understand the scope of this technical problem...are you saying nosotros demand to upgrade Storyline, and so republish ALL existing modules going back to day one?
This can be hundreds of module for the last several years.
Yes! That'south exactly what is required. I'm in the same boat equally you and asked the same question last week. However, it looks similar Chrome is reverting the settings with release "Chrome 70" because of complaints from the field. This is a temporary reversal until October to give developers more time to change their software. In the hateful time Articulate has appear they are creating a "bulk fix tool" that tin be run on a batch of zip files to right the trouble. The tool will eliminate the need to republish just the modules still must exist reloaded on the LMS. I haven't seen a release date for the tool.
Also unable to hear voice over audio in Review. Nevertheless, I can hear the audio of a video streaming from Vimeo.com embedded in the course.
I am having the same problem. I need to get the sound dorsum. Reviewers were able to hear sound initially, but now it is non playing in Chrome. Information technology works in Firefox and in Edge (IE) but not in Chrome.
I'm having the same issue with a course I simply created. Works fine in preview mode, and no sound when published to Review 360. Take tried using both Explorer and Chrome.
